Fishing Trip in Neibert Bottom!!!
Dag-gone Guyandotte River, buls
Here is a fishing trip I took with my Dad. We started out right behind the house, and floated down-river. Neibert Bottom is one of the most beautiful places in the world!!
Guyandotte River in May, behind Neibert Bottom
I caught a fish. See?
Another pic of the river. Purdy Nice, Haint it
He can hardly contain himself
Dad was thrilled. It's a good thing he wasn't catching anything, who would row the boat??
HUGE, isn't it?
I know it's huge, but I decided to take a picture of this just to rub it in. See, normally, he does catch all the fish. Not this time. Ahh haaa haaa AAAAHHH HAAA HAAAA HAAAAA AAAHAAAA HAAA HAAAAA HAA!!!!
ahem...sorry
It's just not fair, now is it
A little blurry, but you get the point. They just keep jumpin' in the boat
Not exactly the last one caught though...
I decided to make this one a bit larger so you can see better what Dad caught. For those who don't know, this is a Gar. Dad decided that he didn't need a fishing rod, so he reached down and grabbed this out of the water with his bare hands. No kidding, he really did. He's the man.
This is a picture of the beautiful Guyandotte, behind Neibert Bottom on May 23, 2006. This was as we floated down the river, going toward Lyburn.
Image title would go here.
This was the fifth fish I caught. Dad was very excited, as you can see in the next photo.
Yeah, I caught some more fish
Dad loved this. I just kept catching and catching, and he was so excited. I believe he caught one though. Maybe I'll show you that one.
Dad's having a BLAST!!!
Just look at him. The concentration. The intensity. The undeniable signs of a professional fisherman. This man means business. Too bad he didn't catch any fish.
Ooohh, what have we here???
Dad decided to save the best for last, he caught this lovely catfish. It made him happy, too. See
Here's another look at the Gar
Click on the picture for a full size photo of the fish. Dad thought it was funny that I was amazed he pulled it out of the water with his bare hands, in the dark mind you, he used a flashlight. I guess that's the difference between a real man and, uh...me. lol
I thought I'd show you this image last...
Hard to believe a scene like this exists in real life, in Logan County, WV, in Neibert Bottom. A lot of people would drive hours to vacation in a place that looks like this. All I had to do was walk behind the house, get in Dad's boat, and go fishin'. It's an awesome place!!
Since I seem to have taken a new interest in updating the site, keep checkin' back. I got some more pictures I'll hopefully add soon, like some celebrity photos. Me and Mikey met Bob Pruett and got a pic, me and Garrin met the governor and got a picture as well. If you go to www.neibertbottom2.freeservers.com the governor picture is up already. I'll be merging the sites soon, because freeservers gave me some more space since I started the site 300 years ago.
Check back, yall, I love you!! Always remember, candy and samwages!
